East Coast Florida Post Ian
Natural disasters can be devastating, they can take lives and destroy livelihoods, they can be catastrophic. Hurricane Ian hit the gulf coast of Florida on September 28, 2022, as a category five hurricane, being the historically strongest and most devastating hurricane to ever hit Florida. I moved to Port Orange Florida a week and a half prior and was immediately introduced to hurricane season with Ian. The day following, when it was safe to leave the house, I went exploring to document what impact Ian had on the east coast. Though this is nothing compared to what the gulf coast endured, no the less, it destroyed structures, flooded home and misplaced too many people.
